Lightweight membrane mirror.
Designed as an „inflatable“ mirror, its smoothed, reflective surface effectively makes the focus of concentrated sunlight smaller and hotter. The mirror is able to generate temperatures of up to 1000 centigrade, offering the opportunity to use it in decentralized, autonomous projects (e.g. steel welding) and still use the sun as the only source of energy.
It achieves its precise shape by inflating the segments with low overpressure. The films are self-cleaning and durable (>30 years) and are resistant to hail and storms.The mirror automatically tracks the sun in 2 axes. The focal point is stationary all year round and is close to the ground.
