To format html source in visual studio, set the options below: “Tools”, “Options”, scroll to “Text Editor”, and then “HTML”, “Miscellaneous”, select “Format HTML on Paste”. Now whenever you paste html into a page, the html will get nicely formatted for you. It’s amazing what you can find out by playing around with the IDE.
