Everyday we read positive and negative news reports relative to renewable energy and electrification. It is really a pitched battle, but if you pull back a bit, the age of fossil fuels is over. It is just a matter of timing at this point. Fossil fuels cannot really improve their pricing. Extraction processes has been optimized and each new deposit is harder to mine / drill and more expensive to pull out of the earth.
On the other hand, renewable and electrification technologies keep getting better and less expensive. Every solar panel sold makes the next one less expensive. Same for batteries. Plus the underlying tech – multi-junction solar panels, semi-solid and solid state batteries, sodium-ion for BESS, etc., all are better than last year’s product and lower cost. We can all stop talking about saving the earth and just demand the lowest cost solutions for energy and transportation, because they are electric. And electric offers a better future for people and animals across the globe.
